East Midlands Talent Radio Review Album-A-Month Songs
November 15th 2007
By releasing new material every month, Sean Wright could be setting himself up for a fall. Yet with tracks as catchy as those currently on his MySpace music page, who can complain?
'Open Your Mind' is a strong song, with a driving guitar edge that propels him along full throttle, and his vocal delivery is suitably brash. With 'Walking Pretty' showing no signs of slowing down, it's a great start.
'Love's Alive' and 'Impossible' again show talent, especially with the latter, which appears to be his most popular track due to its impressive high number of plays. Sean Wright has an innovative and original idea, and a style to match. One to watch.

SEAN WRIGHT INTERVIEWED ON DIGIVEGAS.COM
17th April 2008
Sean Wright's www.digivegas.com interview has gone live on show eight-six. "I had a great time," Wright said. "I discussed the album-a-month project and many other topics, from working with Mark Tinley to old-school recording techniques compared to the digital revolution. Plus eight of my songs were played on the show too!"
Here's what didgivegas said on the website link to the podcast.
"Sean Wright is my guest for DigiVegas episode 086. Wright is a British novelist, songwriter, singer, guitarist, and record producer. He's been around for a very long time, cutting his first record in 1978.
Possibly the most prolific musician in such a short time in musical history. He began writing, recording, and releasing an album-a-month in April 2007. Think about it, 12 songs per album, times 12 albums, equals 144 songs written, arranged, recorded, produced and delivered in 1 year. That's an average of a song every 2 and a half days IF he doesn't take a day off."

SEAN WRIGHT RELEASES WAR NO MORE ALBUM
31st March 2008
Album 12 - WAR NO MORE - by Sean Wright was released at the end of March 2008, heralding Wright's remarkable achievement of writing, recording and releasing 12 albums in 12 months.
"War No More is a very special album," Wright said. "It's my first album that carries a strong anti-war motif throughout. It tells a story that switches narrative, from my strong personal views to the wider perspective of my alter-ego Jimmy, who appears in many of my songs. It completes a very traumatic and paradoxically creative year. It culminated with the loss of my father to cancer on the eve of the album's completion, as well as working with the innovative production genius of Mark Tinley (Duran Duran, Adamski, Dandy Warhols)."
Wright began his album-a-month project back in April 2007 and so far he hasn't stopped.
War No More Credits:
All songs written, recorded and performed by Sean Wright.
Programming, mixing, and production by Mark Tinley for funnymachine.com.

Sue Marchant Show Interview

He talked about the album-a-month project, myspace, war, his books, and future musical projects.
Mark Tinley begins production on new tracks for Sean Wright's WAR NO MORE album.
February 20th 2008,
Sean Wright's 12th album in the album-a-month project is being produced by Mark Tinley (Duran Duran, The Dandy Warhols, Gary Numan, The Stranglers). The collaboration officially began on the 20th January 2008, although Mark Tinley confirmed his interest in August 2007.
Tinley is known for his innovation within the music industry. In 1982, he formed the band Peeping Toms with Shaun Morris, and left several months later when they found a bass player; the band has continued to play, in various configurations, for over two decades. He was inspired by industrial band SPK to begin working on solo projects involving the layering of sounds on a high-end tape recorder, while playing in numerous other bands on the side. He played a John Peel session in 1984 as part of the band Dormannu, continued forming and reforming bands, worked in and founded various nightclubs, and acquired numerous synthesizers and other acoustic toys along the way.
Just before Christmas of 1988 his band Garden Of Eden struggled to number 93 in the UK Singles Chart, having sold 30,000 records.
He then formed Diskord Datkord with his brother Adam Tinley (better known as Adamski) and Jonny Slut of Specimen, which signed with SOHO Records and released one single. Tinley then worked for Adamski, first as a programmer, then as a sound engineer while touring Europe and the United States to promote the single "Killer".
In 1993 Tinley was introduced to Duran Duran by Rob Ferguson, hired as a keyboard programmer, and soon became an integral part of their songwriting and production team, working intimately with keyboardist Nick Rhodes. "[Rhodes will] say 'I like this sound, but can you make it like this?' So when we first started he went through all the sounds on all the keyboards and decided what sounds worked for various songs, then asked me to modify those that weren't quite right. And sometimes he'll just describe a sound and I'll sit down and make it for him." Their workhorse keyboard is the Kurzweil K2000, along with numerous other technological gadgets.
Tinley helped to set up the home studio which came to be known as "Privacy" in the living room of guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, which is where the band recorded their 1993 smash The Wedding Album. He also toured with the band, helping to prepare and maintain the complex synthesizer set-ups used by Rhodes during live shows.
Tinley continued working on Duran Duran's subsequent albums Thank You (1995), Medazzaland (1997), Pop Trash (2000), and Astronaut (2004). He also produced The Dandy Warhols with Rhodes, and created the TV Mania project with Rhodes and Cuccurullo.
Ballad of Leon Payne
3rd December 2007,
Sean Wright wrote and recorded his tribute to songwriting legend, Leon Payne. Payne's songs have been covered by Elvis, Hank Williams, Jim Reeves, Johnny Cash, U2, and many more. The blind Texan Leon Payne (1917-1969) is probably best remembered today as the songwriter who penned all-time classics like "I Love You Because" and "You've Still Got A Place In My Heart," as well as two songs best known through Hank Williams' recorded versions, "They'll Never Take Her Love From Me" and "Lost Highway."
Ballad of Leon Payne has been embraced by Leon's daughter, Myrtie. It was released on album #10 - LONG LIVE LOVE. "I love the ballad. I tell you what! Daddy would have loved your originality, " said Myrtie.
